Ormond RuMa Group Talent Programme - Management Programme (Hospitality, Education & Corporate)
The Ormond RuMa Group Talent Programme is a structured leadership development programme designed for fresh graduates and early career professionals who are ready to build a career across hospitality, education, and service-led businesses.
Over 24 months, participants will gain hands-on experience across the group’s hospitality, education, and corporate operations. Rotations may include hotel operations such as The Chow Kit, The RuMa, and Tune Hotels, as well as exposure to Epsom College in Malaysia, the Global Enrichment Programme, the Sports Academy, and selected corporate office functions.
This programme is designed to develop future leaders who understand how service-driven organisations operate across different environments. Participants will work closely with operational leaders, take part in real projects, and gain exposure to the strategic and commercial decisions that shape the business.
It is a full-time, paid programme intended to accelerate the development of individuals who show strong potential to grow into supervisory and leadership roles within the group.
What Will You Do?
Throughout the 24-month programme, participants will rotate across operational departments and selected corporate functions to gain a well-rounded understanding of how the group operates.
You will work alongside experienced leaders across the organisation while contributing to real operational and business initiatives. Your responsibilities may include:
- Rotating across departments such as Rooms, Food & Beverage, Guest Experience, Education Operations, and selected corporate functions
- Supporting daily operations across hotels, education programmes, and corporate initiatives
- Assisting department heads with operational tasks, reporting, and project coordination
- Working on cross-department initiatives that improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and commercial performance
- Gaining exposure to different entities within the group including The Chow Kit, The RuMa, Tune Hotels, and Epsom College in Malaysia
Within the education arm, participants may gain exposure to programmes such as:
- The Global Enrichment Programme, which delivers international student experiences, summer programmes, and short-term learning camps
- The Sports Academy ecosystem, which includes internationally recognised training programmes such as the Mouratoglou Tennis Programme Malaysia, Golfzon Leadbetter Academy, and LaLiga Academy Malaysia, where sports training is integrated with academic education
- Understanding how sports programmes, youth camps, and education experiences are structured and managed within an international school environment
Participants may also spend time in the corporate office, gaining exposure to how organisations are managed behind the scenes, including areas such as:
- People & Culture
- Finance
- Marketing and Branding
- Strategy and Business Development
Throughout the programme, participants will:
- Learn how to analyse operational performance and identify opportunities to improve service and profitability
- Participate in structured learning sessions and leadership discussions
- Work on real projects and present recommendations to senior leaders
- Develop a strong understanding of Asian hospitality and service culture
By the end of the programme, participants will have developed a strong operational foundation and be ready to step into supervisory or leadership roles within the group.

- Is a fresh graduate or early career professional with up to 2 years of experience
- Holds a degree in hospitality, business, management, or a related field

- Communicates clearly in English, both spoken and written
- Is adaptable, open to new ideas, and willing to step outside your comfort zone
- Enjoys working with people and contributing to team-based environments
- Is interested in understanding how businesses operate across hospitality, education, sports programmes, and corporate functions
- Is passionate about Asian hospitality and service culture
