What Will You Do?
The IT Project Coordinator supports IT project managers and technical teams in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to company standards by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation.
- Assist in planning and coordinating IT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure improvements
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare project documentation including schedules, reports, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate communication between internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Monitor project risks and escalate issues when necessary
- Support procurement and asset tracking related to IT projects
- Ensure project activities follow company policies and IT standards
- Organize project meetings and follow up on action items
Who Must You Be?
To successfully fill this role, you will have the right attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and software applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or project tools (e.g., Excel, Trello, Jira)
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience in IT project coordination or IT support roles
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, or project management practices
- Experience working with vendors and technical teams
