Our founders and controlling shareholders are entrepreneurs with a demonstrated track record of growing and turning around businesses (where necessary) and, more often than not, we conceptualize, seed and incubate our own ventures before seeking new strategic partners and capital for growth. We are looking for new colleagues who are passionate about education, sport and travel and willing to apply these passions to identify, establish and nurture new opportunities and initiatives in these spaces as we grow our ecosystem and portfolio of schools, sporting academies and hotels. We are not passive financial investors and are actively involved in operations, sales and marketing across our portfolio in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for our businesses.
What Will You Do?
We seek to expand the Group’s education and hospitality portfolio across the region whilst ensuring that our current holdings continue to flourish and grow. In this role, you will report to the Director, Business Development & Investments and will assume the following broad roles and responsibilities:
● Identifying, researching and executing new initiatives and partnerships to grow the Group’s portfolio of education and hospitality assets.
● Collaborating with the Group’s sales, marketing and operations teams to identify and execute initiatives to improve revenues and enhance cost and operational efficiencies where applicable.
● End-to-end involvement in the delivery and launch of new business ventures including market research, business model development, transaction structuring and documentation, fund-raising and go-to-market activities.
● Drafting and presenting internal proposals with well-researched analysis and recommendations to the Board and senior management of the Group for approval.
● Working closely with management and appointed third parties across the Group’s portfolio holdings to ensure effective implementation of strategy and KPIs are achieved and the recommendation and execution of corrective actions as necessary; and
● General corporate finance, treasury and capital-raising initiatives
Who Are We Looking For?
To successfully fill this role, you will have the right attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
● A passion for travel, hospitality and education;
● At least 2 years of prior work experience in a relevant field with responsibility and demonstrated success in leading a team(s) and delivering KPIs;
Finance / accounting degrees and/or accreditations are a plus but not mandatory;
● Candidates will need to possess the following attributes:
– Desire to work smart and pro-actively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
– Results-oriented with the desire to take ownership of responsibilities and see matters through to fruition / resolution in a timely manner;
– Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills with attention-to-detail and a demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
– Be a storyteller with the ability to articulate and present ideas across departments and to key stakeholders effectively in oral, presentation and written form;
– Communication and people skills is a must to coordinate, present and execute across business units, external parties and key stakeholders;
– An understanding of basic financial statements and the ability to perform basic financial modelling;
– Robust analytical skills and intellectually curious to challenge the status quo; and
– A high standard of written & spoken English, PowerPoint presentation and Excel skills.
